Unlocking investment priorities in digital infrastructure
The World Telecommunication and ICT Policy Forum 2026 provides a global platform for policymakers and stakeholders to exchange views and shape forward looking policy frameworks for an inclusive, sustainable, resilient, and innovative digital future.
While the need for digital infrastructure investment is widely recognized, many regions continue to face persistent barriers that slow capital deployment. These include regulatory uncertainty, limited project preparation capacity, cross border coordination challenges, perceived risk, financing gaps, and misalignment between public priorities and private investment models.
As WTPF-26 focuses on bridging digital divides, resilience, green digital transformation, space connectivity, and innovation ecosystems, there is a clear need to move beyond high level dialogue and address practical investment bottlenecks.
The ITU’s Partner2Connect Digital Coalition provides a unique platform to do so. Since its launch, Partner2Connect has showcased billions of dollars in digital infrastructure commitments across regions, creating a global community of governments, industry leaders, development finance institutions, and civil society actors committed to advancing universal meaningful connectivity and sustainable digital transformation.
The Partner2Connect Investment Solutions Lab will draw directly on this community and its existing commitments to facilitate candid regional discussions aimed at bridging investment gaps and accelerating implementation.
